Bio
As a Doctor of Social Work in South Portland, Maine, my practice includes women and men of all ages. I have more than 25 years of experience in clinical social work practice serving children, adolescents and adults. If you are struggling with relationship issues, depression, anxiety, grief, addiction, or disordered eating, I look forward to working with you.
I can help you navigate challenges related to managing stress associated with everyday life, coping with change, and stopping self destructive behaviors. I have extensive experience working with a wide range of life issues and diagnoses.
I draw on a number of evidence-based practices combined with my professional experience, education and intuition. Most importantly, I engage your expertise about what you already know about yourself.
Modalities I most often draw on are Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or gender expression.
